well…you know mrsandypants…you might be right. i can’t find the text i read that said that…so i totally admit that i might be wrong…which also makes me point out what else i said…don’t trust everything you read on the net…even info put up out of honesty and good intentions can be wrong due to poor memoroy, communication, interpretation…I’m not saying I am wrong…but I am saying i might be cuase i can’t find the data to back up my claim. peace yos!

yes…70-80 years..in captivity they don’t get the nourishment they truly need….they absorb moisture through thier skin to help hydrate themselves…if they don’t live in like 80% humidity…they are dehydrated…when your ig poops…he should spew out a HUGE puddle of WATER if he is hydrated…if not hydrated properly, kidney’s fail and they die at age 10-20…best place for info is not the net in my opinion..get “green iguana the ultimate owners manuel” at your library or store.

70-80 years? Are you serious? The oldest recorded captive bread iguana was 23, they have a life expectancy of 15 (20 if cared for professionally)
